Our Middle East team is women-owned and run.  

Starting from a small selection of items in a women's gym in Kuwait City, Born Primitive's following grew and in Feb 2021 we became the official Born Primitive retailer in the Middle East.

Our goal is to celebrate the incredible diversity of athletes, coaches, and everyday fitness lovers in our region.

In the Spring of 2014, Bear Handlon and Mallory Riley launched Born Primitive around a single, niche product specific to Olympic Weightlifting. Since then, they have expanded the company’s offerings to include men’s and women’s fitness apparel with a commitment to comfort, quality, function and style in mind.
